Severe budget cuts for heritage

The Heritage Council's budget for 2011 has been cut by 47% compared to 2010, which had already been cut 30% on the previous year. Other statutory heritage bodies fared even worse.

The Heritage Council issued a press release spelling out the likely consequences of this cut on the heritage sector in Ireland.
